Nine area players set to play in 51st annual Iowa Shrine Bowl

The 51st annual Iowa Shrine Bowl kicks off at 4pm Saturday at the UNI-Dome.

The annual football game will features 92 of the best players in the state.

Several area players will be competing on the North Team. They include; Ben Roussell from Cedar Falls, Waterloo Columbus’ Carson Hartz,  Tyler Gayer of Waverly-Shell Rock, Denver’s Ethan Schoville, Aidan Junker from Aplington-Parkersburg, Patrick Brown of Grundy Center, Ben Puente from AGWSR and Korver Hupke and Mitchell Johnson of Independence.

The Iowa Shrine Bowl has raised nearly three million dollars for Shriners’ Children.
