Waterloo Man Found Guilty of Murder

A Waterloo man was found guilty Wednesday of two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of two women over three years ago.  A jury found 39-year old Matthew Buford III guilty on two counts of first degree murder and one count of flight to avoid prosecution.  Buford was accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend, 42-year old Tamica Allison and her friend 41-year old Andrea Anderson in Allison’s home in February 2020.   First degree murder carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.  No sentencing date for Buford has been set.
