The Iowa High School Athletic Association Board of Control has approved a three-year agreement with Xtream Arena in Coralville to host the state wrestling duals tournament.
The event will also be moved up two weeks from last year. It will now take place on February 4th and follow the inaugural Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union state wrestling tournament set for February 2nd and 3rd at Xtream Arena.
The tournament had been held at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines the last 11 years, taking place the day before the traditional state tournament.
With the elimination of sectionals the open weekend allowed the date and location to be changed.
