The state volleyball tournament concluded yesterday in Coralville with championship matches in all five classes and a pair of area schools were a part of the action.
In the Class 2A championship match, Hull Western Christian outlasted Dike-New Hartford in five sets.
The Wolverines led 14-11 in the 5th set, but Hull Western scored five consecutive points to win 16-14.
Dike-New Hartford, who was seeking its third straight state championship, finishes the season 44-3 overall.
In the Class 1A championship match, Ankeny Christian rallied to beat Gladbrook-Reinbeck in five sets.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck closes its season with a 34-10 record.
