The Waverly-Shell Rock boys basketball team defeated Pella in overtime, 65-64, in a Class 3A State Tournament Quarterfinal last night.
The Go-Hawks Luke Frazell hit a game-winning free throw with one second left in overtime to break a 64-64 tie.
Waverly-Shell Rock is now 21-3 this season. The 2-seed Go-Hawks play 3-seed MOC-Floyd Valley in the 3A semifinals tomorrow afternoon at 3:45.
