Human Remains Found At Waterloo Wastewater Treatment Plant

Human skeletal remains were found Monday afternoon at the Waterloo wastewater treatment plant on Easton Avenue. Waterloo Police were called in to find the remains around 12:15 PM Monday.  The remains have been sent off to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny, to determine the person’s identity and cause of death.  DNA and dental records are expected to be used in the process.
