The Hawks moved back into a tie with Des Moines for fifth place in the USHL Western Conference standings thanks to Saturday’s 4-1 win. Two weeks ago, Waterloo won in overtime against the Buccaneers without ever leading in regulation. In this one, the Hawks scored early and never trailed.
Waterloo’s next game is Friday, on the road against the Sioux City Musketeers.
