Class 2A and 1A high school cross country boys and girls state qualifying meets were held yesterday.
In Class 1A,
One area boys team is headed to state as Grundy Center took 2nd at Central Springs’ qualifying meet.
And two area girls teams qualified as Grundy Center and North Butler finished 2nd and 3rd respectively at Central Springs’ qualifying meet.
In Class 2A,
The Denver and Jesup girls teams both qualified, competing at Dike. The Cyclones finished first and the J-Hawks placed 3rd.
