A fire heavily damaged a Cedar Falls mobile home Thursday night. A kitchen fire was reported at 9903 Opal Lane in Cedar Falls, just after 6:00PM. The 911 caller reported that a fire started on the stove. Responding Cedar Falls Public Safety Officers arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming through the roof on the back side of the home. The resident reported that all persons and pets were out of the home. Firefighters put out the fire and limited further damage to the property. The home sustained significant smoke, fire, and water damage. There were no injuries.
