Merner Recognized as CF Representative Citizen
The annual Cedar Falls Business and Industry Luncheon was held Thursday afternoon at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cedar Falls. The New Investor Award went to Kubicka Corp, in the Cedar Falls Industrial Park. The Redevelopment Investor Award was presented to the Other Place Main Street location. The Continued Investor Award went to Hansen’s Dairy; and the Quality of Life Award was awarded to both the Downtown Cedar Falls Farmers Market and the College Hill Farmers Market. The CFU Energy Innovator Award went to CedarStone Senior Living, the Community Development Partnership Award was shared between UNI Athletics, the Cedar Valley Sports Commission and the Cedar Falls Tourism and Visitors Bureau. This year’s Representative Citizen Award was presented to long time senior citizen’s advocate Shirley Merner. She talked about getting this year’s honor.
Merner says Cedar Falls truly is a great place to live and work.
