The Cedar Falls boys golf team won its second consecutive meet to begin the season yesterday. The Tigers captured first-place in the 12 team Linn-Mar Invitational held at Hunter’s Ridge in Marion.
The defending state champion Tigers shot a 289. Waukee Northwest was second with a 302 and North Scott finished third with a 304.
Cedar Falls’ Owen Sawyer won the meet with a 69. Two other Tigers placed in the top-10 as Jack Beecher was fourth with a 72 and Evan Schofield was seventh with a 73.
