Last night in Metro High School sports;
In baseball, Dubuque Hempstead swept a doubleheader from Waterloo West, 14-3 and 18-2, and Waterloo Columbus beat South Hardin, 3-1.
In softball, Cedar Falls swept a doubleheader from Cedar Rapids Xavier, 4-3 and 6-1.
Waterloo West split a doubleheader with Iowa City Liberty. The Lighting won the first game 12-2, but the Wahawks took the second contest, 5-3.
Waterloo East split a doubleheader with Iowa City High. The Trojans lost the first game 9-1 and won the second game 11-10.
And South Hardin edged Waterloo Columbus, 4-3.
