The Cedar Valley will be well represented at the Girls State Basketball Tournament next week. Berths into the State Tournament were decided as Regional Final action took place across the state last night.
In area games:
In Class 5A, 6th ranked Waterloo West overpowered Southeast Polk 75-52. The Wahawks are heading to state for the third straight year and the 10th time in school history.
In 4A, 11th ranked Waverly-Shell Rock rallied to win at 8th ranked North Polk 40-34.
And in area 2A games:
Defending state champion Dike-New Hartford rolled past West Fork, 75-21
And 2nd ranked Denver got past 15th ranked Aplington-Parkersburg, 51-43.
