Waverly-Shell Rock girls basketball advances to 4A State Championship

For the first time in school history the Waverly-Shell Rock girls basketball team will play for a state championship.

The Go-Hawks edged Bishop Heelan, 41-37, last night in a Class 4A State Tournament Semifinal.

Katelyn Eggena led Waverly-Shell Rock with 16 points.

The Go-Hawks take on Clear Creek-Amana in the 4A championship tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. Both teams are 25-0.
