Heroes Among Us Nomination Date Extended to January 12
MercyOne Foundation Officials Encourage Nominations for "Special Heroes"
The MercyOne Waterloo and Cedar Falls Foundations have extended the nomination deadline for recognizing heroes for the 19th annual Heroes Among Us event. Nominations are now due on Friday, January 12th at 5PM. Foundation spokesman Joe Surma explains what it’s all about.
Surma says there’s a wide range of categories in which to choose from, and he explains the process of submitting the applications.
This year’s honorees will be recognized at a breakfast ceremony March 21st at the Diamond Event Center in Cedar Falls. Surma says the event also serves as an annual fundraiser.
Surma says much has been raised over the years to enhance the hospitals.
