5A 2nd-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy slipped past 3rd-ranked Cedar Falls, 51-47.
Waterloo West overpowered Cedar Rapids Jefferson, 77-38.
Waterloo East ran past Des Moines East, 91-59.
And Waterloo Columbus beat Oelwein at the buzzer, 50-49. The Sailors’ Leo Christiansen finished with a game-high 20 points.
In girls games;
5A 9th-ranked Cedar Falls rolled past Cedar Rapids Kennedy, 83-38.
Cedar Rapids Jefferson surprised 5A 14th-ranked Waterloo West, 58-56.
Waterloo East drilled Des Moines East, 79-33
And Waterloo Columbus took care of Oelwein, 70-56. The Sailors’ Morgan Bradley finished with a career-high 29 points.
