No one was injured after a minor explosion at the Shell Rock POET ethanol plant late Saturday afternoon. The Butler County Emergency Management Agency says fire crews were called to the plant after 4:00PM and were on scene for over an hour and a half clearing the scene. Officials confirmed it was a small explosion, which could be felt for miles. The investigation is ongoing as to what caused the explosion, possibly combustible dust.
