Students at Poyner Elementary and Bunger Middle School in Evansdale were dismissed for the rest of the day yesterday after a gas leak was reported in the two school buildings. Students were moved to a unification point at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale for dismissal home. Waterloo Community School Superintendent Jared Smith shared information in a Facebook post. He said yesterday that the source of the gas leak has not been identified at this time.
