Two garages and a pickup truck were destroyed by a fire in Cedar Falls early Saturday. Firefighters were sent to an alley in the 1000 block of Bluff St., just before 6 AM, where the first units to arrive found two garages fully engulfed. A pickup parked next to the garages was also on fire. Both garages and the pickup were destroyed. Heat from the fire also damaged two other vehicles parked nearby and melted siding on an adjacent home. Fire officials say the cause has not been determined.
