Both the Cedar Falls boys and girls high school cross country teams are moving on to the state meet.
The Cedar Falls girls team placed third at the Class 4A state qualifying meet at Iowa City West, while the Tiger boys finished first. \
Cedar Falls’ Jaden Merrick was the meet’s medalist with a time of 15 minutes & 17 seconds.
Waterloo West competed in the Class 4A state qualifying meet at Marshalltown. The Wahawk Girls placed 8th, while the Wahawk boys finished 7th.
Individually in the girls race, Waterloo West’s Nakia Ollivierre placed 2nd and qualified for the state meet.
The state cross country meet takes place in Fort Dodge on Friday, October 27th.
