The Tama County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man killed in an explosion and fire at a rural Tama County home on August 14th. Crews were called to the 1000 block of W Avenue in Buckingham, at around 10:15 AM. They say the residence was destroyed due to an apparent explosion. A body was discovered near the residence shortly after emergency crews arrived. Officials have identified the victim as 70-year-old Roger Dehrkoop. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
