Some area high schools are having to adjust their football schedules due to a shortage of officials.
Waterloo Columbus Catholic’s Week 5 home game against Grundy Center and Grundy Center’s game at Hudson in Week 8 will now both be played on Thursday as a result of the shortage.
Several officiating crews around the state are working consecutive nights this year to get this season’s games in and avoid further schedule changes.
