The Black Hawks came away from Sioux City with nothing to show from a game-in-hand, which Waterloo had held on the Lincoln Stars. After Sunday’s 3-2 loss, the Hawks are one point ahead of Lincoln for second – and a first round Clark Cup playoff bye – with six games remaining for each team.
Waterloo’s next game is Friday at Sioux Falls as the Stampede battle tenaciously for the final playoff spot in the USHL Western Conference.
