It was a playoff-type atmosphere at Young Arena on Saturday. The Black Hawks won a nip-and-tuck contest against the Lincoln Stars, 2-1, with fine performances by a pair of veteran goalies: Waterloo’s Emmett Croteau and Lincoln’s Cameron Whitehead.
Now the Hawks prepare for the annual Thanksgiving game against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
