Iowa City Liberty defeated Cedar Falls 14-1 last night in a Class 4A substate semifinal.
The Lightning jumped out to a 10-0 lead after three innings and cruised to the win, registering 10 hits in their victory.
The 8th-ranked Tigers end their season with a 26-13 record.
In area Class 3A substate semifinals last night:
Clear Creek-Amana beat Waverly-Shell Rock, 9-3.
And Independence edged Ballard, 3-2.
