Former Cedar Falls High School basketball standout Anaya Barney has announced that she will be transferring to Coastal Carolina.
Barney had a record-breaking career at Cedar Falls before committing to UNI. She red-shirted her only season with the Panthers before entering the transfer portal this March.
The 5-foot-10-inch guard was a three-time All-State and four-time All-Mississippi Valley Conference selection. She was the 2020-21 MVC Mississippi Division Player of the Year.
Barney led all of Class 5A in scoring as a senior with 503 points and finished her career with the second most points in program history with 1,455.
