Entries into the boys state golf tournament take place today as District meets in Classes 1A, 2A and 3A happen across the state. Qualifiers from these meets advance to the State Golf Championships, set for May 23rd and 24th in Ames.
Today’s District meets tee off this morning at 10.
Today in girls golf; Cedar Falls, Waterloo West and Waterloo East compete at the Mississippi Valley Conference Divisional Meets.
The Tigers compete in their second Mississippi Divisional meet. Cedar Falls is currently tied with Western Dubuque for the overall Mississippi Valley Conference lead.
Cedar Falls will be competing at the Gardner Golf Course in Marion.
Waterloo West and Waterloo East will be participating in their second Valley Divisional Meet, which is taking place at Gates Park in Waterloo.
The High School Baseball season begins today and it’s a busy schedule as three of the Metro teams play Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheaders.
Cedar Falls is at Iowa City Liberty, Waterloo West is at Cedar Rapids Xavier and Waterloo East plays at Iowa City West.
Today in metro boys soccer; Waterloo Columbus is at Postville.
