The Iowa State women’s basketball team is adding a graduate transfer.
Stephanie Soares, a 6’6″ forward from The Master’s University will be joining the Cyclones.
Soares is a two-time NAIA Player of the Year, three-time First Team All-American and was a five-star prospect by ESPN out of high school.
Soares, who hails from Sao Paulo, Brazil, competed for three seasons at The Masters University.
Last year she averaged 20.5 points, 12 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game en route to leading her team to a 32-4 overall record and the quarterfinals of the NAIA Championship.
Soares is immediately eligible to play for the Cyclones and has one season remaining.
