Ankeny quarterback JJ Kohl announced last night he’s committing to Iowa State.
The four-star quarterback is considered the best 2023 quarterback prospect in the state.
Kohl, a 6-6, 227-pounder, led Ankeny to the 5A State title game last season.
Kohl recently got invited to the Under Armour All-American Game and according to 24/7 Sports is the 18th-rated quarterback in the nation.
In his junior season, he threw for nearly 2,200 yards and 25 touchdowns.
