The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has released its 2026 All-State Softball teams and several area student-athletes were among those honored.
In Class 5A,
Waterloo West’s Frannie Dehl was named to the First Team,
Cedar Falls’ Lexi Trueg received Second Team honors,
And Waterloo West’s Addy Schoepske was named to the Third Team.
In Class 4A,
Waverly-Shell Rock’s Harper Morrison was selected to the Second Team.
In Class 3A,
Dike-New Hartford’s Faith Gray was named to the Second Team.
In Class 2A,
Grundy Center’s Maddy Hendershot,
Jesup’s Hayden Kresser and Sara Mead,
and Wapsie Valley’s Taylor Buhr were named to the First Team.
Denver’s Brilee Ackerson,
Jamie Jones of Sumner-Fredericksburg,
and Wapsie Valley’s Espyn Decker were named to the Second Team.
And Denver’s Jenna Collins
and Sumner-Fredericksburg’s Aubree Land received Third Team honors.
In Class 1A,
Clarksville’s Catelynn Lodge, Sydney Lovrien and Hannah Wangsness were named to the First Team.
And Don Bosco’s Addy Steenblock and Mya Ortner received Second Team honors.
