High School State Baseball & Softball Tournaments begin Monday
The 2026 high school state baseball and softball tournaments begin Monday and a pair of area schools are among those competing in the State Softball Tournament.
For the 56th consecutive year, the State Softball Tournament is being held at Harlan Rogers Park in Fort Dodge. All five classes compete Monday-Friday.
In a 1A Quarterfinal involving an area team,
defending state champion Clarksville takes on rival North Butler, Monday afternoon at 4:30.
In a 2A Quarterfinal involving an area team,
Wapsie Valley goes against Logan-Magnolia, Monday afternoon at 4:45.
The State Baseball Tournament takes place Monday-Friday at two different locations.
Class 1A and 2A games will again be held at Merchants Park in Carroll.
The Class 3A and 4A tournaments are being held at Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids.
