7.14.26 – Four area teams fall in Class 2A & 1A Substate Baseball Finals

Four area schools were looking to qualify for the State Baseball Tournament last night as Class 1A and 2A Substate Finals took place.

In Class 2A,

Denver’s Cinderella run through the postseason came to an end as 5th- ranked Cascade edged the Cyclones, 3-2, at Manchester. 

And Ridge View defeated Grundy Center, 7-3, at Boone. 

In Class 1A,

4th-ranked South Winn ended Don Bosco’s season, 12-2, at Waverly. The Dons’ season ends with a 25-6 record.

And 9th-ranked North Linn shutout Janesville, 6-0, at Independence.
