The NHL Draft took place Friday and Saturday and four former Waterloo Black Hawks were selected.
Defenseman Landon Nycz, who just completed his freshman season at the University of Massachusetts, was taken by St. Louis in the 4th round.
Defenseman Nick Bogas, was taken by St. Louis in the 5th round. Bogas is a Michigan State recruit.
Defenseman Jimmy Rieber was selected in the 7th round by Anaheim. Rieber intends on playing for the Black Hawks this fall.
And forward Tyler Deakos was taken in the 7th Round by the Montreal Canadians. Deakos was the final selection in this year’s draft.
