Two area boys soccer teams fall in State Tournament Quarterfinals

The high school boys soccer State Tournament began Monday with a pair of area teams among those competing in Quarterfinal matches.

In Class 2A,

7-seed Aplington-Parkersburg-Dike-New Hartford suffered a close loss to top-seed Gilbert, 1-0.

In Class 1A,

Gladbrook-Reinbeck-Grundy Center fell to Iowa City Regina, 7-1.
