The annual Metro baseball tournament got underway yesterday with Waterloo West as this year’s host.
Waterloo East run-ruled Columbus Catholic, 18-2,
and Cedar Falls picked up a 4-3 walk-off win over Waterloo West.
The tournament concludes Thursday with Columbus Catholic playing Waterloo West in the consolation game and Waterloo East taking on Cedar Falls in the championship.
In metro softball last night,
Waterloo West defeated Columbus Catholic in 5 innings, 8-0.
