Waterloo Bucks sign former Waterloo West standout catcher Tayvon Homolar

The Waterloo Bucks have announced a number of roster additions ahead of the 2026 Northwoods League season and one of their signings is a former metro prep standout.

Former Waterloo West High School catcher Tayvon Homolar signed a full contract with the Bucks Wednesday.

Homolar just completed his sophomore season at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa. Homolar appeared in 31 of the Blackhawks’ 60 games this season, hitting .327 with five home runs, and 26 RBI.
