Three Area Boys Basketball Teams Competing Today at State Tournament

Three area high school boys basketball teams compete at the State Tournament today.

In Class 2A quarterfinals involving area schools;

8-seed Union (22-3) faces top-seed Carroll Kuemper (22-3) at 10:30. Listen to the Knights on Cruisin’ KCFI. Coverage begins at 10:20.

5-seed Grundy Center (23-1) takes on 4-seed Treynor (22-3) at 12:15

and 6-seed Aplington-Parkersburg (22-3) takes on 3-seed Iowa City Regina (22-1) at 3:45.

The winners advance to the Class 2A Semifinals tomorrow night.
