Three Area Girls Basketball Teams Prepare For State Tournament

The high school girls basketball State Tournament begins today and goes through Friday at Casey’s Center in Des Moines.

Today’s matchups feature all four quarterfinal games in Class 5A and three Class 3A quarterfinals.

Two area schools will be among those competing in quarterfinals on Tuesday, with a third area school competing in a quarterfinal on Wednesday…

Waverly-Shell Rock takes on Dallas Center-Grimes at 11:45 a.m.

In Class 2A,
