UNI football coach Todd Stepsis recaps National Signing Day, talks NDSU’s MVFC departure
UNI football coach Todd Stepsis met the media monday to recap National Signing Day.
Between the early and final signing days the Panthers added eight high school signees and ended up with 11 transfer portal additions to a class totaling 34 players.
Stepsis spoke about the necessity of signing transfers, despite his preference to limit the need for portal additions.
Along with 34 new players on the roster the Panthers also have a new strength coach. As a result, how do you feel about the speed and size of the roster now compared to a year ago?
A lot was lost to graduation and the transfer portal on the offensive line. How are you feeling about that position group post-signing day?
Reports this past weekend were confirmed Monday that longtime Missouri Valley Football Conference and FCS power North Dakota State is leaving to join the Mountain West Conference in the FBS. Thoughts on the Bison moving up and leaving the MVFC/FCS?
