The Girls State Wrestling Tournament gets underway today at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
The two day event crowns champions in Class 1A and 2A in 14 weight classes with 16 wrestlers competing at each weight.
A total of 34 girls from the metro and area are among the 448 wrestlers participating.
The first session consists of first Round and quarterfinal matches, along with first and second round consolation matches.
Class 1A action begins this morning at 10 with Class 2A beginning this afternoon at 4:30.
