Four successful penalty kills, plus power play goals by Tyler Deakos and Toby Carlson made the Black Hawks successful in six of seven special teams situations on Sunday. However, Waterloo could not generate a five-on-five goal during a 3-2 loss to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
The Hawks go on the road to visit the Omaha Lancers next on Friday.
