The Waterloo Black Hawks play their annual Thanksgiving game tomorrow night at home against Cedar Rapids. The game will once again feature the popular Teddy Bear Toss promotion.
It will be the 53rd Thanksgiving game in Waterloo and the Teddy Bear Toss has been part of the holiday contest since 2001.
Fans are encouraged to bring new teddy bears and plush toys to the game. When the Black Hawks score their first goal, fans throw the stuffed animals onto the ice.
The bears are then collected and donated to various children’s charities.
