Thursday’s High School State Football Playoff Semifinals

A full day of high school state football playoff semifinals are set to take place at the UNI-Dome today.

In Class A,

4-seed Wapsie Valley (11-0) takes on 2-seed Saint Ansgar (11-0) this morning at 10. Wapsie Valley is looking to reach the championship game for the first time since 2012.

Top-seed Marcus-Meridan-Cleghorn-Remsen-Union (11-0) goes against 5-seed West Sioux (10-1) this afternoon at 1.

In Class 4A,

3-seed Sergeant-Bluff Luton (10-1) battles 4-seed Pella (10-1) at 4 this afternoon.

And 1-seed Cedar Rapids Xavier (11-0) faces 7-seed Newton (10-1) tonight at 7.
