Cedar Falls’ Will Gerdes Signs with UNI basketball

The UNI men’s basketball program announced Wednesday the signing of three high school players to its 2026 recruiting class as part of the early signing period.

Among the three was Cedar Falls’ Will Gerdes. 

Gerdes, a 6-foot-8 forward, is entering his senior season with the Tigers. Last season he averaged 16.5 points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal per game,

Gerdes was recognized as an All-State honoree, as well as Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Divisional Player of the Year, All-Conference and All-Metro.
