Dunkerton not fielding 2025 varsity football team due to low numbers

An area school will not be fielding a football team this season.

Due to a lack of numbers and those who are out mostly being underclassmen, Dunkerton has decided not to field a varsity team this season, it will instead play a junior varsity schedule for 2025.

The Raiders compete in 8-Player and were scheduled to open their season at Northwood-Kensett next Friday, August 29th.

The loss of a game creates an open date in the varsity programs of three area teams; Don Bosco, Tripoli and Janesville.
