Dan Mast to be named new Waterloo East high school baseball coach

Pending school board approval, Dan Mast will be named Waterloo East high school’s new baseball coach.

Mast is a 1993 graduate of East and has been involved in the Trojans’ baseball and football programs the past seven years. The past six seasons he’s been part of East’s baseball staff, serving as head JV and sophomore coach.

He replaces Eric Jesse, who led the Trojans the past four years.

East finished its 2024 season 13-19 overall and second-place in the Iowa Alliance Conference with a 9-7 record.
