‘The Jim Rome Show’ moving to 2-5p, ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ moving to 11a-2p beginning Monday, Jan. 6

Westwood One Sports and the Infinity Sports Network made announcements today regarding programming changes with ‘The Jim Rome Show’ and ‘The Rich Eisen Show’, respectively.

‘The Jim Rome Show’ will transition its distribution from the Infinity Sports Network to Westwood One beginning on Monday, January 6th, and will also begin to air in a new time-slot, 2pm to 5pm central time.

‘The Rich Eisen Show’ will transition its distribution from Westwood One to the Infinity Sports Network on Monday, January 6th and will continue to air live from 11am to 2pm central time.

Due to the current, longtime time-slot ‘The Jim Rome Show’ has occupied, ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ has consequently aired via delay on The Fan from 2pm to 5pm. Today’s announcement not only makes it possible for The Fan to continue to air both shows, it will also make it so both shows will air LIVE in their new time-slots.

“It was quite surprising to learn that ‘The Jim Rome Show’ would be moving out of its longstanding midday time-slot here in the central timezone. But, Jim’s extremely loyal following will show up wherever he does and the fact that his show is moving to the 2-5p central time-slot is all the better as it will result in our Rich Eisen Show listeners hearing his show live in the midday.” 1650-102.3 The Fan Program Director Cole Bair said. “The only thing better than our current weekday lineup was to have all shows air live, and that’ll be the case beginning on Monday, January 6th.”

“Jim Rome is a natural addition to Westwood One’s powerful portfolio of sports programming. His unique voice, unparalleled sports insight, and dynamic style have cultivated a dedicated audience that we look forward to welcoming,” said Collin Jones, President, Westwood One in a release. “Additionally, this partnership marks an exciting chapter for Westwood One, as we continue to deliver top-tier content for our audiences and our advertising partners.”
