First period goals by Teddy Mallgrave and Ryan Zaremba put the Hawks in front Friday and on their way to a 5-2 win versus the Sioux Falls Stampede. With the victory and Lincoln’s loss to Dubuque, Waterloo moves into a tie for first place in the USHL Western Conference.
The Hawks are back in action Saturday night on the road against the Des Moines Buccaneers at 6 p.m.
