The Fan announces new programming lineup
With a never-ending goal to best serve its listeners, 1650-102.3 The Fan is proud to announce numerous programming changes set to debut ahead of the upcoming fall sports season on Saturday, July 20th.
Headlining The Fan’s programming changes is an entirely new weekend lineup in partnership with Fox Sports Radio and BetQL Network, along with two new weekday shows.
“Fox Sports Radio’s weekend programs feature multiple personalities who consistently engage in stimulating conversation and offer terrific insight and analysis of whatever is trending in the sports world — which is exactly what The Fan’s listeners deserve — making these changes a no-brainer,” KCNZ Program Director Cole Bair said. “We’re also well-aware and compelled by the growth of sports betting nationwide, provoking the addition of three “Wagertainment” shows from BetQL Network. On behalf of The Fan, we’re excited for the debut of this new lineup, and as always encourage our listeners to provide their feedback.”

‘VSiN PrimeTime’ with Tim Murray and Jonathan Von Tobel was recently added and can be heard weekdays from 6-9pm. On nights when there are no Chicago Cubs, Waterloo Black Hawks, NFL, Iowa State football or basketball or other college football or basketball games airing, ‘VSiN PrimeTime’ provides listeners a top-shelf “Wagertainment” program with in-depth analysis, stats and insights of that night’s games of interest to help listeners make responsible wagers.
‘2 Pros and a Cup of Joe’ with Jonas Knox, LaVar Arrington & Brady Quinn debuts Monday, July 22nd and can be heard weekdays from 5-6am, prior to ‘Maximum Mornings’ with Mark Simpson. Host Jonas Knox is joined by former college football and NFL stars Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington to start your day with their expert analysis of what’s trending in the sports world.
The Fan will also debut ‘Countdown to Kickoff’ from Fox Sports Radio on Saturday and Sunday morning’s during the college football and NFL seasons. Saturday’s show ahead of college football games will air 8-11a. The program is led by FSR personality Brian Noe, who is joined by former All-American Penn State left guard Rich Ohrnberger and betting analyst Jared Smith.
Sunday’s ‘Countdown to Kickoff’ ahead of NFL games will air 9a-Noon and is also led by Noe, and features eight-year NFL veteran Geoff Schwartz, along with professional sports better and KrackWins.com Founder Bill “Krack” Krackomberger.
Each weekend, the hosts provide unique insight, betting tips and a whole lot of personality for ALL football fans, whether they place bets or not. The shows feature breaking news, previews of the biggest matchups, the latest injury updates, along with the best prop odds, picks, lines and point spreads prior to kickoff.
