The University of Northern Iowa Panther Caravan made its annual stop in Waterloo Tuesday night. The appearance of UNI coaches and staff at Singlespeed Brewing Co. was all part of a tour across Iowa for fans to meet with the coaches and President Mark Nook, and to introduce new athletic director Megan Franklin, who was hired last week. Earlier in the day, she had been formally introduced as the new A-D. Franklin talks about her first days on the job, and why she calls this the beginning of her “Legacy Era.”
Franklin says the increased level of enthusiasm around UNI drew her to her new position.
Franklin feels she’s come to UNI at the right time, with many milestones ahead.
